Discover Golf Carnival a big hit for families

As part of the build-up to the 2018 SMBC Singapore Open, which starts on Thursday, nearly 2,000 people attended the Discover Golf Carnival at Sentosa Golf Club today.

Families and friends, golfers and non-golfers, attended the golf-themed day on The Range @ New Tanjong – one session taking place between 2pm and 4pm, followed by another from 4pm to 6pm.

One of Singapore’s top professionals Choo Tze Huang and the country’s top amateur Gregory Foo attended to help give advice and there were loads of activities including: FootGolf, a Kiddy’s Golf Safari, Golf Croquet, and Golf Ball Tattoo stations. Totts Golf helped organize the afternoon along with Lagardère Sports and the Singapore Golf Association.

The more experienced golfers were able to take part in various Skills Challenges such as: a Durian Challenge, a Bull’s Eye Target, a Goal Post Challenge, and Chip Into Bucket and Putting Challenges.

For the even more advanced players there were Power Driver and Sharp Chipper challenges.

Not surprisingly some of the longest queues were for the kids popcorn, candy floss and popsicles stands.
