Junior Skills Challenge at Jurong

The fourth golf clinic of this year’s SMBC Singapore Open Junior Golf Series took place on September 4 and was another resounding success with 88 attendees.

Held at Jurong Country Club the junior golfers faced a series of skills challenges aimed at further sharpening their games.

The challenges were: nearest the line, nearest the pin, fairway chipping, greenside chipping, putting, bunker play and a rules quiz.

Four holes on Jurong’s Executive Nine were used.

Organised by the Singapore Golf Association and Lagardère Sports, the event promoter of the SMBC Singapore Open, the next clinic will be held at the same venue on November 20 and will be a five-hole challenge.

The Junior Clinic was also made possible with the support of TaylorMade, Ice Mountain, My Golf Kaki and Crest Link.
