Juniors flock to first golf clinic

The first SMBC Singapore Open Junior Golf Series clinic of 2016 teed-off at Sentosa Golf Club on Sunday, June 19.

Held at the newly completed Sentosa Golf Club driving range, 46 junior golfers, invited through the Ministry of Education, the Singapore Golf Association (SGA) and the Youth Golf Programme, took part in the session.

Two-time US PGA Tour winner Daniel Chopra conducted classes along with Singapore professionals Jonathan Woo, Johnson Poh, Melvin Chew and Davide Bertoli.

Singapore Amateur squad members Marc Ong, Melvin Chew and Wong Yen Ting also attended to give advice.

Organised by the SGA and the event promoter of the SMBC Singapore Open, the next clinic will be held at the same venue on July 17.

The Junior Clinic is also made possible with the support of TaylorMade, Ice Mountain and Crest Link.
